E-commerce provides stability

Preliminary estimates show that TIM SA’s revenues from net sales of goods and services directly related to the sale of goods in May 2018 amounted to almost PLN 57.55 million. This is an increase by almost 10% compared to May 2017. Revenues from e-commerce (PLN42.48 million) increased by 13.4% YOY. TIM’s turnover after five months of 2018 is higher by 19.1% compared to the same period of the preceding year.

The revenue from the online channel in May 2018 amounted to PLN42.28 million. The accumulated turnover for the period from January to May 2018 exceeded PLN293 million, of which e-commerce brought PLN208.5 million.

“The dynamics of the turnover in May reflect the lower number of inquiries from the investment market, and this, in turn, is the effect of a smaller number of working days. The whole first week of May was the long weekend, the month ended with another holiday, so I consider the level of monthly revenues almost equal to the turnover in April a success” says Krzysztof Folta, the President of TIM SA Management Board. “Regardless of the market situation, revenue from e-commerce was growing in its own rhythm, and its growth again exceeded the growth in total revenue. This is the source of our stability resulting from the hybrid sales model implemented by TIM five years ago, which is unique on the Polish e-commerce market”, adds Krzysztof Folta.
