Over PLN 380 million – the best first half of the year in the history of TIM SA

Early estimates suggest that in the first half of 2019 net revenues of TIM SA from the sales of goods and services directly related to the sale of goods amounted to almost PLN 380.1 million and were by 6.4% higher that the turnover in the corresponding period of 2018. The share of e-commerce capital in TIM’s revenues from the sales amounted to 70.1% and the online sale in the first six months of 2019 generated almost PLN 266.3 million (+4.6% y/y).

Estimated turnover in June 2019 amounted to PLN 65.8 million, i.e. 3% more than a year before. Revenues from the e-commerce channel reached the level of PLN 40.4 million (-12.2% y/y).

– We have experienced a record-high first half year ever. This is the reason for great satisfaction and to say thank you to our customers and employees. The trust of the former in combination with the excellent work and competences of the latter brings effects in the form of subsequent TIM records – mentions Krzysztof Folta, the President of the Management Board of TIM SA.

TIM’s turnover in five out of six months exceeded – often significantly – the limit of PLN 60 million.  The exception was February – the shortest month with the fewest business days.

– The same could be noticed in June. Although, with positive dynamics total revenues exceeded PLN 60 million, we have noted a decline in the e-commerce channel. Due to the Feast of Corpus Christi long weekend June 2019 had de facto two business days less than a year before when the Corpus Christi holiday was at the end of May. During these two days online sales would generate about six million zlotys, the amount that was missing to be able to be fully satisfied with the results of June 2019 – explains Krzysztof Folta.
