2023 – the second best sales year in the history of TIM SA

According to preliminary estimates, TIM SA’s revenues from net sales of goods and services directly related to the sale of goods will exceed PLN 1.38 billion in 2023 (-4.6% year-on-year). Estimated revenues in December 2023 are PLN 93.5 million (-15.6% y-o-y).

In 2023 and December 2023, self-service online sales will generate more than PLN 939 million (-6.6% y-o-y). – almost PLN 62.6 million (-13.8% y-o-y).

– Considering the circumstances, I consider the past year, the second in terms of sales in TIM’s more than thirty-five year history, to have been successful, said Krzysztof Folta, CEO of TIM SA.

The first half of 2023 was challenging from the start due to the negative impact of a very high base resulting from above-average sales in the first half of 2022, mainly due to the war in Ukraine and concerns about supply chains, but also due to changes in the ‘My Current’ programme. In the second half of last year, however, TIM was affected by a significant slowdown in the construction industry.

– I believe that our business model has allowed us to be relatively unaffected by the downturn, as evidenced by the increase in both the number of TIM customers and their loyalty. Sales in the last month of the year were not helped by the calendar – December 2023 had fewer working days than December 2022. However, if we compare sales per working day in both months, we find that the decrease was only -1.9% year-on-year, notes Krzysztof Folta.
