Katarzyna Sobierajska becoming another athlete under the care of TIM

TIM S.A. became the sponsor of a judoka Katarzyna Sobierajska. Kasia is another young talented athlete (next to Damian Szwarnowiecki who also practices judo) to be taken under our company’s wings.

The adventure with sport of this young, only 20-years old, athlete started 10 years ago. She took her first steps in this discipline under the supervision of coach Damian Lisiewicz at the UKS Pohl Judo club in Przemęt, her hometown. Her diligence, talent and determination could be noticed from the very beginning. After the first 5 years of training Kasia set off to conquer the capital where she continued her education and joined AZS club of the University of Warsaw. After reaching certain level and in the absence of clear perspectives for further development in the capital the judoka decided to return to her hometown Przemęt and work with her first coach Damian Lisiewicz to fight for the most important trophy in the life of every athlete – the medal of the Olympic Games.

The chances of succeeding in the next Olympic Games in Paris in 2024 seem high, taking into consideration a lot of her achievements, f.e. the 1st place at the Polish Junior Championships (the latest achievement of the competitor).

TIM’s cooperation with Kasia was undertaken as part of the responsible business strategy TIM pro. One of its elements is socially involved sponsorship, i.e. supporting young, ambitious athletes. Over the last few years, TIM has sponsored golfer Adrian Meronek who was the only golfer to represent Poland during last years’ Summer Olympic Games in Tokio. At the moment the company has two sports talents under its wings. Apart from Kasia, TIM is also supporting a judoka Damian Szwarnowiecki, with whom the company has already been working for a few years.
