Record-breaking first half of the year, the highest monthly dynamics of the online sales in TIM’s history

Early estimates suggest that in June 2020 net revenues of TIM SA from the sales of goods and services directly related to the sale of goods amounted to over PLN 75.3 million and in the entire first half of the year 2020 – over PLN 434.1 million. This is an increase by 14.4% and 14.2%, respectively, as compared to the corresponding period of the year 2019. In June 2020 alone, a record-breaking, as much as 33-procent increase was recorded in the turnover generated by the e-commerce channel (PLN 53.9 million vs PLN 40.4 million in June 2019, i.e. +33.4%).

In the first half of 2020 online sales brought, according to the estimates, over PLN 309 million (+16.1% y/y). The share of e-commerce in the total turnover amounted to 71%.

– We have already experienced a quarter in which almost the entire TIM’s team worked remotely, however, as you can see, this did not negatively influence our revenues from sales. A couple of days ago, a Noble Securities analyst wrote in their comment that TIM does not fear coronavirus. Which is firmly confirmed by the sales figures for June, the second quarter and the first half of the year. We are breaking further records. We have been recording double-digit sales dynamics every month since February – emphasizes Krzysztof Folta, the President of the Management Board of TIM SA. – In June, a number of companies, also those being our customers, returned to a greater or lesser extent to working on-site. However, this has not changed their purchasing habits, which is confirmed by the highest increase in online sales in our history. They choose shopping on TIM.pl as the safest access to the widest range of electrotechnical products in Poland, under good terms and with reliable service – adds Krzysztof Folta.
