The TAK Group ceases its operations

The joint venture of three distributors of electrotechnical goods – A-T, Kaczmarek Electric and TIM – will go down in history at the end of 2018.

The TAK Group was established in the autumn of 2015. Representatives of the companies forming the group had immediately began trade talks with suppliers regarding purchases for the year 2016. Business models and ideas for the development of the three partners differed, which meant that to a small extent the companies competed with but also complemented one another perfectly.

– In the following months, together with the suppliers, we had developed new, more effective principles of cooperation allowing for optimization of logistics costs on both sides, to reach new customer groups with the product offer and to efficiently launch new products on the market – recalls Paweł Jarmużek, the President of the Management Board of Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowe A-T SA.

At the time of the launch TAK Group was supported by both the sales (over 200 bricks and mortar retail outlets servicing wholesale and retail customers, as also two e-stores) and logistics (approx. 70,000 sq. m of warehouse space and cable sites) potentials. From the beginning, the heads of companies forming the group declared that their undertaking was to bring measurable benefits to all market participants.

– Our goal was the YES for business. More efficient, more modern and more predictable. The one that brings benefits not only to manufacturers and distributors forming the group but also to customers gaining, thanks to our partnership, the access to a wider product offer. We did succeed – adds Cezary Kaczmarek, the President of the Management Board of Kaczmarek Electric SA.

The three years of TAK’s operations had been the period of dynamic changes both on the entire electrotechnical distribution market and in each of the three companies.

– Each of our enterprises is in a completely different situation than in autumn 2015 and has different ideas and perspectives for further development than three years ago. This is why we have decided that the current formula of our cooperation had been exhausted – says Krzysztof Folta, the President of the Management Board of TIM SA.

TAK Group is terminating its operations on 31 December 2018 – We part as friends wishing one another good luck in further endeavors. We do not exclude future cooperation. We thank our business partners and customers for their kindness and trust. We believe the last three years of our cooperation have contributed to faster development and greater professionalization of the Polish market of distribution of electrotechnical goods – summarizes Krzysztof Folta, Paweł Jarmużek and Cezary Kaczmarek.
