TIM’s e-commerce is growing regardless of the calendar

Estimated net revenues of TIM SA from the sales of goods and services directly related to the sale of goods after 11 months of 2019 amounted to PLN 738.9 million against PLN 699.2 million in the corresponding period of 2018. The turnover in November 2019 reached over PLN 70.5 million (-1.0% y/y) of which over 73% was generated by the e-commerce channel. Revenues from online sales after 11 months of 2019 have already exceeded PLN 0.5 billion (PLN 519.2 million vs PLN 495.3 million in the corresponding period of 2018).

Estimated revenues from e-commerce increased in November 2019 by 4.5% as compared to November 2018 and amounted to PLN 51.6 million.

– November 2019 brought two long weekends, which made the total turnover similar to that achieved a year earlier. Not very favorable calendar translated, however, primarily to traditional, offline transactions. E-commerce channel has maintained the upward trend exceeding significantly the limit of half a billion PLN, which a year ago we reached only after the end of the year – observes Krzysztof Folta, the President of the Management Board of TIM SA. – This is yet another confirmation that our sales model, with the dominant share of online sales, improves TIM’s resistance not only to changes in the market situation but also to the calendar.
